Isabelle Cowan MASP. L. Psych., BCBA
Isabelle Cowan is the Director of the Autism Learning Partnership (ALP), a branch of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in New Brunswick (Canada). ALP specializes in the professional development of educators who support learners with autism spectrum disorders in preschool and school settings. As a school psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), Isabelle has been working for more than fifteen years in the areas of assessment, consultation and intervention for learners facing different behavioural, developmental or learning challenges. In collaboration with experts in the field, she has also led the development of curriculum-based assessment tools that are now mandatory in preschool autism intervention settings and widely used in schools. She is an active member and past president of APABA, the Atlantic Provinces Association for Behaviour Analysis, a branch of the Association of Behaviour Analysis International (ABAI).
