Assessment

In consultation with the Lovaas Institute of the Midwest, the Autism Learning Partnership team developed the Comprehensive Assessment for Learning and Independence (CALI): Functional Skills for Independence. This tool assesses life skills for individuals of various ages and levels of development who require individualized interventions in the area of functional skills, for instance:
The CALI was designed to assess strengths and needs to better guide decisions regarding the planning of interventions to be offered in relation to functional competencies. It focuses on the skills and abilities that will be necessary for the learner to participate actively in society as an adult and seeks to provide the skills necessary for success in everyday life. More than 1,100 skills and abilities were divided into ten different areas.
